You can find the channel address on the community section at the Inkscape website. There is an Inkscape chat room on IRC, with very helpful people. There are hundreds of Inkscape tuts on Youtube. Draw has more raster abilities right in the program, which can be nice for other projects. Draw though, can deal with spot colors and cmyk far better than Inkscape, but those aren't needed for a cutter. It might actually be better in some areas, worse in others. ![]() Inkscape can work just fine and is free, or CorelDraw or several others, (most not free.)Īs far as things you need to do to make designs for a vinyl cutter, no CorelDraw is not significantly more advanced. It must be vector not raster, so Gimp is out. So if you stay with 1.0, you need design software. My brief look at it gave the impression that it could probably do the job, but dedicated design software would be better. SignCut Pro 1 has virtually no design abilities, but does a good job just at cutting.
